Customs examination and clearance fees take effect from the date the goods crossing the territorial borders of the country (rail, air, auto, water transport). You should be aware that any goods imported from abroad, including postage, pass customs inspection.
When sending to Russia via the state mail, there is a simplified procedure of customs clearance and payment: if the cost of goods are less than 10 000 rubles - free of customs duty charge*. Over 10 000 rubles - 30% of the (goods value - 10 000 rubles).In addition, customs will take another 0,1% of the value of a parcel for services rendered.
When sending to Ukraine via the state mail, packages of value of 200 euros and up to 50 kg are free of customs duty charge. Otherwise, VAT,customs fees and duties (about 30%) will be charged in accordance with applicable law.
When sending to Belarus via the state mail, packages of value up to 120 euros are free of customs duty charge. Otherwise, 30% of the goods value minus 120 euros will be charged in accordance with applicable law.
When forwarding to Kazakhstan through the state mail, packages of value up to 1000 dollars are free of customs duty charge. Otherwise, 30% of goods value minus $1000 will be charged in accordance with applicable law.
When sending goods abroad, packages are required to go with customs declaration.In the United States it is Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note (Form 2976-A). Based on the value of goods in a custom declartion customs authorities decide to pass or delay the package, make a decision if there shoud be payment of customs duty or it is free of charge. Attention, the customs authorities can not believe declared value of goods and they may request the confirmation of it(invoices, receipts, printouts of orders) or may redirect the parcel to reassess, to determine the real value of package. |
